I watched the painter paint my race car in 1971 and at the time my Dad had a used car lot. The gas crunch came along around the end of 1974 and to save money I started painting our cars since I watched him I said I can do that. My Dad had to give up the car lot and I had my little shop and started painting older cars for a lot in Bradenton Fl. I painted a 50 Packard conv, 63 T-bird, 61 Lincoln, 57 Chevy Nomad, to name a few. I could not make enough money (tried to make them perfect but pay did not equal that) so I went to work for different body shops and quit around 1981. I rebuilt and painted my race car white around 1993 with 6 coats of lacquer. I was looking for something to do that I enjoyed so started this business in 2005 and had to learn how to paint with all the new stuff and that's where I met Barry and listened to him. Brian was not happy with what he was doing and starting working with me. He had never welded or fabricated anything before and taught himself how to weld. The first car I painted was my race car close to the way it was back in 1971 looking at pictures and remembered how he painted it back than. The big difference was it was now base coat clear coat urethane not lacquer. I joined the local Mustang club and took my race car to shows and that's how I got back in the business. Still don't make any money but I can't wait to go to work every day working with my son bringing this cars back from the dead.
